Today's music
Yo guys! Wassup. So today's music was slightly better than saturday but still room for improvement. Mr Tan told us today that we are not improving much and stuck at where we are, because we are making the same mistakes again and again and that he has to remind us certain stuff EVERY parade. So what can be the solution to this? PRACTISE. Everyone, let's make an effort to come down just ONE non-parade/sectionals day to practise, even if its just for 30 minutes. You are bound to improve gradually. For example, you are in the canteen waiting for your parents and they say they are stuck in traffic jam and to wait longer, just come up to the bandroom to practise. No need bring bag up and all. Also, write down whatever Mr Tan says about our music even if it may seem easy to remember like "play slightly louder" or "you are a bit sharp". You may remember for that parade but compelled to forget the next parade. So just write it down on your score "play louder/watch intonation". Keep your score outside of the pocket and a pencil on the stand at the beginning of the parade, so that you don't waste time. Finally, discipline for today's parade not say excellent but quite okay I guess. When we were asked to shout "charge", some of us were lazy or not putting in effort to actually shout to the top of our voices. We should be listening to our tops and do as they say, in other words, respect their decisions. Yeah.. so, just try your best for everything[including studies ah - TA1 in 2++ weeks] and achieve that SYF GOLD. Cheers! Karthik ;D Thursday, February 5, 2009:10:46 PM |
